When you spill popcorn on the floor...

Chase knocked over a bowl of popcorn, so instead of trying to pick it up, all the kids just camped right floor to eat it right there.  Good thing the floor was cleanish!  That's one way to clean it up I guess.

 

Pictures with Sis Sis

It really the progression on these pictures that cracks me up.  Trying to get a nice picture of Chase and Carter together on Strawberry and Chase wasn't much for it until they gave him the quirt, then he decided maybe it wasn't so bad!  Sis Sis is Chase's name for Carter...

Yep, don't like this...Still not impressed...although dad thinks it's funny!Then, "ooohhh, what's this?" look.

Much better once he found the quirt!  Carter just looks happy to be on her pony.

Strawberry and the coach

Robert and Carter like to head over to Gramma Aunties for riding lessons in the great round pen over at her house.  Good place to teach a little girl how to ride and Gramma Aunty loves to teach kids how to ride.  She makes a pretty darn good coach and it's so handy to have her living only a couple miles away.  And Carter does love to ride!  I'm sure I'll get to post lots and lots of pictures like these this year

Pretty good for a little girl who can't even reach the stirrups yet!

Christmas number 2

We celebrated a small Christmas in January since that's when my sister Jessica and her family would be in Montana (the last leg of their US trip then off to their new post in Slovenia).  It was fun to have all the little cousins together and they enjoyed having more presents to open!

Jess had picked up some foam swords that were very popular, Keenan especially loved them!

Chase wasn't quite as sure about the sword...at least not initially.  He did get into the spirit later...

And Gramma and Grampa had to get a picture of all the kids, but they may have waited too long.  The sugar buzz was long since over although they did try to bribe the kids with suckers.  Worked for everyone but Chase.  He was DONE with the party and ready to go home for his nap!
