Mornings always seem to come to fast and run too short around here. I still haven't got my alarm fixed so I've been getting up around 7 am and would prefer 6. I get everything ready for Carter, start the car so it gets warmed up, and spend a couple minutes catching up on email. This morning she woke up early, demanding balloons. What about breakfast?? Seemed a bit early in the day and since she didn't want to share with Riley Jo, no balloons, much to her shock and dismay. However, once we spotted our vitamin gummy bears, all was better. She refused to put on her coat, so we traded: yogurt breakfast bar for the coat. Not sure where that ranks on the "good parenting" skills list, but it works like a charm with her. Combing her hair was another story--I'm sad to say she won that round... I got her all wrapped up and headed down the road. It was frosty and cold this morning and I was glad Robert had gotten the cattle guard fixed so I didn't have to open the gate. It takes me 15 minutes round trip on the gravel road to get her to Landa's and get back my house for work.
