Problem with Fireplaces

I've been a on a posting hiatus with trying to get all the bookkeeping all caught up...so now I'm trying to get all my pictures posted from the last month...bear with me!

Now that Chase is crawling, my cleaning skills (or lack thereof) are being put to the test. It was much easier when there was only one kid running around, but with two I just don't seem to be as diligent. The fireplace is a constant problem. I clean it twice a day to keep the ash, wood chips to a minimum but yesterday I apparently missed a spot...

The picture wasn't nearly as shocking as him spitting out a small chunk of coal. Sigh. He had a leaf in his diaper yesterday. I have managed to keep paper, Carter's toys, coins, buttons, etc all put away, but he finds the oddest things. His top two teeth finally broke through on Thursday. Carter never had any problems teething, but Chase ran a fever for 3 days and was pretty miserable until these finally came in. I ran out of infant's Tylenol and ran to town to get some. A major undertaking with Chase not feeling well. Got all through the store, picked up some groceries including a ball that Carter chased all through the store, got checked out, only to find that I didn't have my ID with me and they wouldn't accept my payment without it. Are you fricking kidding me???? The lady wanted to know if I just wanted to suspend the transaction while I ran home to go get it. Ya right, over an hour round trip plus another half hour back home again? Hahahaha. So completely mortified, I left my groceries and the Tylenol and the ball--with both kids screaming, once tired and sick, the other mad she had to leave her ball behind. My sister Christy saved the day by having some Tylenol for Chase so I didn't have to send Robert to town for some. (Thank Heavens for sisters!!!)

Carter managed to butcher her hair again. This time with my leg razor. It doesn't look as shocking as her first butch job...she mostly just thinned her hair on one side and it looks a little scraggly. Robert was a bit cross about the whole thing and I narrowly convinced him not to completely shave her head bald. Hopefully she will not try this trick again, although there are worse things. Pictures coming...

That sucks about the groceries. Completely sucks. Was that in WalMart?
