Grampa to the Rescue

A couple weeks ago, Grampa showed up with his handy dandy sandbox kit and fixed up a great sandbox for Carter. It's a little redneck being an old tractor tire and all, but Carter loves it and to be honest, it rather fits in with the decor around our place right now anyway. I rather like that the rubber is a bit more forgiving if you fall on it. Carter has already clocked in hours playing in her new sandbox. Thanks Grampa!

We had a tough time even getting Carter to get out and pose for a picture with Grampa. She spent most of the afternoon in the sandbox happily playing while mom worked outside. Robert would like to eventually bury part of the tire so it's not so tall and easier for Carter and Number 2 to get in and out of, but for now it's working great. The dogs even seem to be keeping the cats out of it, which is also a bonus!

I love that I'm surrounded by so much of my family! It just makes things so much easier and funner with little kids.
