Saturday was the last day of nice weather, although it was cold. Carter spent part of the day down at my moms. I had gotten her all dressed up and hair fixed before we left, under much duress from the sorely abused Carter. On the trip down the hill, she spent some time glaring at her reflexion in the car mirror, and finally ripped out the cut barrette, messed her nicely combed hair and triumphantly said "There! That looks like Carter now!" Ah, gads. What do you do?

In the afternoon we got a spot all fixed up for Sprinkles so that she could wander around a bit safely. Working on the halter breaking...but once she got out of the barn and turned loose, she ran around just like any other baby, bucking and jumping. She seems to be getting better at figuring out where obstacles are, at least the non-two footed ones. Sprinkles wasn't too sure what to make of Carter since she didn't smell like a bottle and made a lot of noise. Carter had a ball just trying to pet her and feed her.

Her cousin Sterling came over to play for a bit on Saturday and quite a bit of the day on Sunday. He's 7 and we had to cover some ground rules with Sprinkles after I caught him with her down on the ground hog tied: No riding, no roping, no hog tying this baby. He did like leading her around with the halter which helps out a bunch with the halter breaking, although I'm sure he would have rather tried to ride her! Sunday it snowed most of the day, so everyone was somewhat trapped in house. Sterling would get stir crazy and go outside until he got too cold and then come running back. Carter didn't really want to go outside at all!

Carter loves having kids come over and play, but by the end of the day, her and Sterling were starting to bicker just like a couple of siblings. It was kinda cute.
