My crazy bird

I've had days where I wanted to beat my head against the window, I've even had days where it felt like I had...however I can honestly say I've never actually spent all day doing it. This crazy robin spent all day yesterday trying to fly through my window. I put the blinds down thinking maybe he was confused about the glass, I went outside and chased him off (twice), I put things in the window to scare him off, and he kept right at it. He started it up again this morning around 6 am. I'm thinking there is something seriously wrong with him (yep, what was the first clue?), like a disease or something, and would put him out of his misery if I could.

Carter found one of my old headbands I use to pull my hair back when I wash my face and thought it was high fashion. I thought it was pretty funny right up until she climbed up on the bathroom sink to check herself out in the mirror and fell off...while bad mommy is trying to take a picture. Luckily no serious injuries other than a horrified mom and a small bump on the head to remind her why I keep telling her not to climb up there. (ya, good reinforcement, mom, on that lecture when I'm trying to take pictures...the picture above was actually taken post trauma, since she wanted to see herself on the 'puter')

Poor birdie. Life is difficult, no matter whether you travel by shank's mare or feathered wing.

Don't beat yourself up about being a bad mommy. Carterkins is going to take a lot of dives, bumps, bruises, crashes, scrapes, and scratches due to her particularly hard headed attitude! You'll both survive.

What do they say a Red Robin is the first sign of spring...maybe he thought you weren't getting the hint and had to be a little more direct. ;-)

If we only knew how many times our mom's dropped us or watched as we fell off of something...happens to the best of us. It's what makes us strong. Don't feel bad.
